Distance: About 4 inches away from pop filter
Additional Setup: JZ pop filter was used about 1.5 inches away from microphone. Our laser alignment was locked in for further microphone tests.
Our Comments: For female vocals, our top picks were the Audix SCX-25, Lauten Audio Oceanus, and both FET and tube outputs of the sE Electronics Gemini 5. Out of the dynamic mics, we preferred the sound of the Audix D2.
