The Rooster 2 is a sonic marvel, a 2-channel all-valve preamp with EQ and distortion controls that brings richness and warmth to your sound. Versatile and powerful, it caters to a wide array of applications, delivering harmonic distortion, dynamic control, and tonal perfection.

Versatile Preamp Section: Whether you're amplifying mic, line, or DI input signals, the Rooster 2's double triode input valve (12AX7) adds a smooth, balanced gain stage after the input transformer. And with a dedicated toggle switch, you can provide 48 volts of phantom power to your mics.

Unlock Attitude and Distortion: The 'Attitude' section allows you to control the amount of inherent distortion produced by the 5654 valve. At low Attitude settings, the Rooster 2 maintains distortion well below 0.1%, while higher settings introduce rich harmonics, giving you that classic "valvey" warmth.

EQ Your Way: Craft your sound with precision using the Rooster 2's EQ section. The Bass lift control offers continuous adjustment over bass frequencies, with a unique 'varislope' curve peaking at 60Hz. The 'mid/high' lift control provides bell or 'varislope' curves, selectable at 2.5KHz/4KHz or 12KHz.

Fine-Tune Your Audio: The 'Mid cut' control offers a bell-type curve centered at 700Hz, allowing for continuous control over the amount of cut. The 'Bass cut' switch presents 5 positions with various cutting curves, providing ultimate flexibility.

Smooth Highs: The low pass filter switch lets you cut high frequencies, preventing harsh harmonics from dominating when using excessive distortion, ensuring a smooth result.

Balanced Output: A Sowter custom-made transformer ensures balanced output. The 3-LED display represents the output signal level.
