Microphone Shootout #2

Welcome to the Pure Wave Audio Microphone Sample Shootout #2. This test was performed in our stellar commercial recording facility and recorded at 88KHz 24-bit. Our test includes 11 Tube, 9 FET, 3 Ribbons and 6 Dynamic microphones all recording Bass cabinets, Electric Guitars, Piano, Drum Overhead and Room, Toms, Female Vocals, and Male Vocals. We used scientific methods to make sure the tests were as accurate as possible. We included all mics in every test, so if you own one of the models tested, it can become your benchmark for comparisons against other mics. For more information on the process, please see the "How We Did It" section.

If you'd like to hear high resolution audio, you can purchase a DVD with all the files in 44Khz or 88KHz. This way you can load them up on your DAW system and instantly A/B takes.
