The SE-SE2A is a multi-capsule (Cardioid, Omni, Hypercardioid) small diaphragm condenser microphone. The SE2A is provided with 3 interchangeable capsules, omni, cardioid and hypercardioid.

Mic comes complete with a high quality metal shock mount and an aluminum case.


The frequency response is 30Hz-20KHz, sensitivity 10mV/Pa - 40± dB(0dB=1V/Pa 1000Hz), impedance less than 30O ohms, equivalent noise level is 17dB(A weighted), 137dB SPL. 48V phantom power required.


The SE-SE2A microphone is a great multiple use mic, because of it's multiple patterns. It also ups the anti by providing a nice shock mount and cherry wood case. This mic is great for cymbals, snare, room, and acoustic guitars. On acoustic guitars it provides a lot of string attack. If you are looking to mainly record solo acoustic performances you might want to consider a warmer tone created by a wide diaphragm mic or the SE3 small condenser. For adding acoustic tracks to full arrangement songs, this is a good choice because it will cut through the mix.
