Primacoustic KickPad
The Primacoustic KickPad is a mic platform designed for sound engineers using a boundary microphone, such as the Shure Beta 91, inside a bass drum. The KickPad isolates the mic from structural vibrations and provides a solid platform for the mic to capture sharp transients. The design uses a unique shape made from high density open - cell foam that adapts to various drum sizes from 16" to 24". The foam is topped with a heavy, laser cut 1/4" steel plate providing mass to stabilize the mic plus a neoprene top that secures the mic in place even when submitted to severe vibrations.
