Even though headphone amps have become full of options, they have no power to drive anything anymore. And especially for bands tracking live with the drummer in the same room or using the AKG240M that were 200 ohms. I had to keep an old Tascam headphone amp, which took up 2 rack spaces, just to do the job. Not anymore. The HP4 cranks as loud as the old Tascam with only 1/2 rack of space.
