The Pearl TL 44 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone that offers versatility in recording, allowing you to select different polar patterns during mixdown or record in stereo. Its legendary rectangular capsule serves multiple purposes, making it a valuable addition to your recording toolkit.

Selectable Polar Patterns

The TL 44 features two capsules mounted back-to-back, and its 5-pin XLR connector provides two discrete output channels. You can connect these outputs to two mixer channels or soundcard inputs. For mono recordings, such as vocals or small acoustic instruments, direct one capsule towards the sound source. By configuring your mixer or DAW accordingly, you can achieve cardioid, omni, figure-of-eight, or any pattern in between. This flexibility is available even during mixdown, giving you complete control over your recordings.

Stereo Recording

Position the TL 44 with its capsules angled 90 degrees to capture a stereo sound source, resulting in a 180-degree XY stereo image. This microphone delivers a very flat frequency response with a neutral low end, making it suitable for various recording scenarios, from capturing vocalists to church organs.

LED Indicator

The TL 44 is finished in black ED lacquer and features an illuminating LED that confirms the presence of 48V phantom power.
